Yee Wah Jung

Mrs. Yee Wah Jung prefers modern abstract kaleidoscopic design paintings and traditional Chinese Tu-Ann figure painting. She was born in China to a family of prominent artists, Yen Tsin Yip and Chiu Fong Yip.

Growing up in Canton, Guangdong Province, she attended Chung Nam Art School in Wu Pei, China. Later, in Hong Kong she attended Tak Ming College and New Asia College, Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Her intricate, colorful, and elaborate designs are meticulously worked out before the actual painting is started. This technique called Tu-Annqua demonstrates Mrs. Jung's discipline, patience, and attention to detail.

Mrs. Jung's art works have been exhibited in Hong Kong and throughout California. She has won several awards.

The Holy Family

A Chinese version of "The Holy Family" is to the left. This style of painting is the traditional Tu-Ann figure painting. Mrs. Jung received the Three Kings Award for this oil on silk painting at the Advent Fine Art 7th Annual Show.












The Benson Family

The Benson Family portrait is featured here. This was a commissioned painting in oil. Jenny Benson, a proud mother, and her son, Kevin, are the subjects.

Kevin graduated number one of his Harvard University Class of 1990 with a B.S. degree in Physics. He completed post-graduate work at Oxford University as a Marshall scholar. In 1993, he received his Ph.D. in Physics graduating at the top of his Oxford class.
